Class Descriptions

If you are unsure whether a class is the right fit for you, come speak to staff at the front desk. We would love to help you to determine what your best option might be and answer any questions you may have!

Our instructors arrive 10-15 minutes before class begins, so feel free to drop-in early and chat with them! They can provide guidance on how to navigate their class if you have any injuries or accommodation requests.

Pilates

Instructor – Dawn Ladds

Build strength, stability, and control in this full-body mat-based class designed to improve posture, flexibility, and core connection. Using precise, low-impact movements, you’ll target deep stabilizing muscles while developing balance and coordination. Expect a focus on breath, alignment, and mindful movement, with options provided to suit all fitness levels. Leave feeling stronger, longer, and more connected to your body!

HIIT

Instructor – Shahinda Ali

A High Intensity Interval Training workout consists of short bursts of intense work lasting anywhere from 10 to 60 seconds, followed immediately by a period of active recovery of the same length or longer. This cycle of hard work and recovery is repeated anywhere from 3 to 10 times, depending on the workout.

Hip to Core Power

Instructor – Rachelle Thériault

Build strength from the ground up in Hip to Core Power, a focused class designed to activate and strengthen your glutes and core – the powerhouse of your body. Through a combination of controlled strength work, stability exercises, and functional movement patterns, you’ll develop the muscles that support posture, balance, and everyday movement. Expect targeted glute activation, deep core engagement, and movements that connect the hips to the trunk for better stability and power. This class is suitable for a wide range of fitness levels, with options provided to increase or decrease intensity.

Yoga

Instructor – Paul Larmer

De-stress, gain flexibility, improve your range of movement, keep mobile & functioning. Move dynamically from one posture to another, with near constant movement, following the breath and fostering a meditative mental state! You do not need any previous experience in Yoga, so come on down and challenge your strength, balance & stability!

Self-Defence

Instructor – Diana Trang

This practical self-defence class focuses on building awareness, confidence, and fundamental safety skills. Participants will learn how to fall safely to reduce injury, maintain and control distance from an attacker, and use body positioning to gain a more advantageous position if a confrontation moves to the ground. Diana uses a blend of different martial arts. Kickboxing gloves are not required, but if you own a pair you can bring them.

Barre

Instructor – Yulia Kelemen

Barre is an excellent full-body workout that includes classic ballet movements, as well as more traditional interval training exercises, all choreographed to energizing music. Using a combination of dumbbells, mini loop resistance bands and sliders, this upbeat workout is sure to build a strong core and lower body!

Circuit Training

Instructor – Justin Sinclair

A fun and effective full-body workout that will help improve your muscular endurance, cardiovascular fitness and core strength. While targeting different parts of the body with a variety of exercises, this class will both challenge and motivate you to come back for more! Suitable for all skill levels and abilities.

Yoga Flow

Instructor – Brenda Tackaberry

This is a vinyasa, or flow style yoga class, in which the breath is synced with the postures.  Build strength, flexibility, and balance, all while quieting the mind and relaxing the body. Creative sequences will have you exploring different ways to move between each of the postures, and plenty of variations for each pose are offered meaning that this practice is suitable for all levels.

Pedal & Release

Instructor – Nicole Goldmann

Pedal & Release delivers the perfect mix of effort and recovery with a challenging 30-minute cycling session full of powerful climbs, steady tempo work, and energizing intervals, followed by a 15-minute combined cool down, stretch, and release using a foam roller and therapy ball to loosen tight muscles, enhance mobility, and help your body unwind so you finish feeling strong, relaxed, and fully recharged.

Yoga Fusion

Instructor – Rachelle Thériault

Flow, strengthen, and restore with Yoga Fusion — a unique blend of mindful movement that combines the breath-centered flow of yoga with targeted mobility and rehabilitation exercises. This class is designed to support your body both on and off the mat, helping to build strength, improve joint function, and enhance flexibility through a thoughtful combination of traditional yoga poses and functional movement.

Strength 

Instructor – Shahinda Ali 

Get your heart pumping in this all-levels strength class, without the high impact cardio. Get an amazing full-body workout using a combination of light to moderate weight dumbbells & body-weight exercises.
